First Time Visitor?

What You Can Expect on Sunday at 9am?

  • When you walk in, you’ll be welcomed by one of our Greeters, who will let you know where to find things like the restrooms and invite you to stay after church for coffee and snacks.
  • As you go up the steps, an Usher will welcome you and hand you a bulletin with the order of the service and current church news. (Prefer a hands-free copy? Use the QR code to download the service to your device)
  • In the sanctuary, you’ll see our Pipe Organ on the right and choir on the left. Have a seat where you like; if you can’t find one,  an usher will be happy to help you.
  • Our Sunday service is “Liturgical”, which means it follows an outline or order of worship that includes confession of sins with a proclamation of God’s grace and forgiveness, public reading of scripture from the Old & New Testaments, a Bible-based sermon, followed by prayer and a celebration of the Lord’s Supper.  There’s plenty of Christ-centered traditional hymns, and you’ll quickly learn that Lutherans love to sing!
  • The Worship usually lasts about an hour; after worship, you may enjoy meeting some members who will be happy to welcome you.  Our Pastor appreciates meeting guests after worship and may ask for your “First Impressions” and offer you a guest card; please share your email and he’ll send you a note with a few quick questions so you can let him know about your experience at St. Mark.

Welcoming Caring Worship Rejoice

Membership

New Christians and Christians from non-Lutheran backgrounds are received through Baptism and/or instruction. Our pastor’s class includes a review of the basics of the Christian faith, our mission and vision for St. Mark, and an introduction to the leaders and ministries of our congregation. This grounds members in scripture and introduces them to how we are organized for ministry and mission. We believe in inviting people of all ages and all walks of life to come and hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
